Reasons Analysis on Ultrasonic Testing Poor Penetration of Rings

摘 要
某批环件在进行超声波探伤检查时,出现草状波严重、底波损失大等透声不良现象,环件透声不良比例约为14%,透声不良区域沿周向长度约占环件周长的1/6,且硬度也不能满足客户技术条件.采用化学成分分析、金相分析等方法对该批环件超声波探伤透声不良原因进行了分析.结果表明:环件超声波探伤透声不良是由于其热处理加热温度偏低,未能完全消除轧态组织中的粗大晶粒造成的.

Abstract
Poor penetration phenomena such as severe grass echo and heavy bottom wave loss were found when ultrasonic testing to a batch of rings with the unqualified ratio of 14%.The length of poor penetration area along circumferential direction was about 1/6 of the ring circumference.At the same time,the hardness of the rings was also lower than the specific value.Means such as chemical compositions analysis,metallographic examination were used to analyze the reasons for the poor penetration phenomenon.The results show that ultrasonic testing poor penetration of the rings was caused by the fact that the coarse crystal grain of rolling state was not completely eliminated because of the lower heat treated temperature.
